It has come to my attention that most people and society as a whole make decisions based on prevention rather than assertive autonomy. That is, any alternative model of living which is NOT what is UNDESIRABLE is chosen over what is actually desired. An honest view of modernity would suggest that as each individual is a unique amalgamation of qualities and desires, so should there also be an independent vision of modern life. Fear of economic and social pitfalls act as an overriding force against the dream and gives us a consolation prize. I find myself making decisions based on the notion of not having a certain thing rather than staying focused on the true desire. As Morrissey says "We cannot cling to the old dreams anymore". One must stay fixed on the boldness of the unexplainable human drives which know no common identity. ANY ACCUSATION OF ESCAPING REALITY IS BESIDE THE POINT OF REALITY BEING THE QUESTION AT HAND.
